What is Techrar Marketplaces (MaaS)?#

Techrar Marketplaces (MaaS) - Marketplace-as-a-Service - is a comprehensive solution that enables sales channels to integrate with Techrar's ecosystem and display merchant offerings directly in their applications. MaaS empowers marketplace operators to quickly aggregate and list subscription-based products from multiple providers, creating a unified shopping experience for end customers.
Whether you're operating a food delivery platform, grocery marketplace, or any other aggregator service, MaaS provides the infrastructure and APIs needed to seamlessly connect with Techrar merchants and their offerings.

How MaaS Works#

Step-by-Step Breakdown#

Create your account as a sales channel in Techrar
2.
Merchants discover available channels and request to be listed in your platform (contracts managed offline)
3.
Accept/reject or activate/deactivate providers as needed
4.
Build your categorization of plan tags
5.
Merchants request plans to be listed in your categories
6.
Use our APIs to display providers, tags, and plans
7.
Implement checkout process:
Option A - Techrar Pay: Leverage our payment solution, receive webhooks for payment events
Option B - Your Payment: Use your payment solution, provide webhooks so we can process subscriptions after payment
8.
Use subscription management APIs to allow customers to manage their subscriptions
9.
Handle complaints via our APIs - complaints reach providers with full observability
10.
Customer compensation is deposited to Techrar wallet for use on future orders
11.
Authenticate customers via our API to receive access and refresh tokens for customer-based endpoints
12.
Create customer locations using our location APIs - the only additional requirement for subscription placement

Key Concepts#

Sales Channel: A marketplace platform that aggregates offerings from multiple providers
Channel Provider: A Techrar merchant whose offerings are listed on sales channels
Connection: Relationship between a sales channel and provider (statuses: pending, connected, disconnected, rejected)
Plan Tags: Categories used to organize and filter subscription plans
Customer Wallet: Built-in wallet system for complaint compensations and order redemptions
